Romanian farmers and entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector have the opportunity to receive financial aid through various DR interventions. Depending on the type of investment, the maximum amount available for projects can range from 3 million to 10 million euros. The total budget for these European funds is 210.3 million euros and the registration period is open from December 20, 2023 to April 30, 2024, until 4:00 p.m.

Farmers who raise animals can also benefit from European funds through DR intervention 20, with a maximum amount of 2 million euros per project. The registration period at AFIR is the same as for DR 22, from December 20, 2023 to April 30, 2024, until 4:00 p.m. The budget allocated for this intervention is 224.61 million euros.

For the establishment of irrigation systems, Romanian farmers and their associations can apply for non-refundable funds of up to 500,000 euros per beneficiary through DR 26. The submission of projects can be done online on the AFIR website from January 15, 2024 at 09:00 a.m. to May 14, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The total budget for this call is 102.42 million euros.

DR 15 offers investments in fruit farms with a budget of 151.38 million euros. The submission period for projects is from January 8 to April 30, 2024.
